Minx Pet Care is owned and operated by Nan Roberts.
I have been a pet-sitter since 1997. I started part-time, and went full-time in 2012, with an ever-growing list of happy clients (most of them referrals from other happy clients). I will care for cats, dogs, reptiles, rodents, fish, birds, and various farm animals at your home. I have years of experience working as an assistant/kennel tech in several veterinary/boarding kennel facilities. I am certified in basic Pet First-Aid, Pet Massage, and Pet Nutrition. I believe in treating your pets as I do my own, like they are part of my family. My specialty is senior animals, especially cats. I have experience with many different types of animal medications, including giving subcutaneous fluids and insulin.
I offer basic drop-in visits (approximately 20 minutes; can do longer as needed, at an extra charge), daily dog-walking, and “doggie-day-stays” (anywhere from 3 to 10 hours, depending on other pet-sitting jobs at the time). Please see my Basic Rates page for more detailed information.
I also offer transport to/from veterinary or grooming appointments. Please see my Basic Rates page for more detailed information.
My service area includes:
Maryland counties – all of Washington County, Western parts of Frederick County (Myersville)
Pennsylvania counties – southern and central, includes Franklin County (Waynesboro, Greencastle)
West Virginia counties – Berkeley and Jefferson counties (mostly Falling Waters, Marlowe, Shepherdstown)
Other areas can be arranged, but my radius is under 15 miles from my home. Additional charges will be incurred for anything over.
I can be reached by filling out the contact form below. You can also contact me through my Facebook business page at www.facebook.com/MinxPetCare. Please check my availability calendar to ensure I can help you; feel free to contact me even if my calendar says I am unavailable for your chosen date, as last minute changes can occur.
I prefer not to give out my phone number (which is a PERSONAL CELLPHONE) on the website, due to an increasing number of sales calls recently. Thank you for understanding.
